Privacy Policy

This outlines the Tulpje privacy policy, how we collect and process your data. We're not lawyers so we're trying to keep it as simple as we can.

This policy is effective as of March the 26th, 2026. Changes to this policy can be viewed on GitHub.

Your Data

For the functioning of the bot the following data is stored (and encrypted at test):

The ID of your Discord user and the ID of any servers you invite the bot into to keep track of configuration
IDs of custom emojis in your server to track emoji usage this data is removed one week after removing the bot from your server

And the following data is cached in memory:

Server info, channels, roles, members, emoji (these are pruned when you remove the bot from your server)
User information

Additionally the following data is accessed but not stored

Content of messages on your discord server to track emoji usage, this data is not persisted emoji IDs are extracted and then the data is discarded

PluralKit system, fronter and member data of the systems tracked by Tulpje for fronting notifications and the current fronters category functionality. (these are removed within a day after no notifications or servers are set up for the system)

For troubleshooting and monitoring the following is also stored (and encrypted at rest)

Anonymous usage statistics, the amount and types of discord messages the bot receives
High level logs of bot actions, such as commands executed, messages sent, etc.

Logs are kept for 1 week maximum, and anonymous usage statistics for 1 month maximum.
